KINGS COLLEGE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
DANIELLE + NILS’ WEDDING AT KINGS COLLEGE, CAMBRIDGE

Danielle and Nils decided to get married at Emmanuel United Reformed Church in Cambridge followed by the absolutely beautiful Kings College for their reception. When they started looking for Kings College wedding photography, they chose to get in touch as they were looking for natural wedding photography which wasn’t going to feel too static or posed.
The ceremony itself was stunningly beautiful including a unique show stopping arch of green foliage for an entrance. As Danielle proceeded down the isle you could almost feel how proud dad was, grasping his daughters hand so tightly. When Danielle reached Nils all their bridesmaids and groomsmen were surrounding them in a beautiful arch. Something I’ve never seen before but such a simple, wonderful thing to compose, if possible.
These two wonderful, gentle souls met at the Mill pub which was only a few minutes stroll down the road from the College. They managed to reserve the back room at the pub, after the ceremony, so they could have a few photos where they met. By organising this, from a photographers perspective meant that I could let them be, allowing me to capture the moments of them reminiscing the years gone by and celebrating the fact that they just turned husband and wife.
All the details at this wedding oozed style and were executed brilliantly. Once we arrived at Kings College the sun was gleaming for the drinks reception. This is my favourite part of every wedding I have the honour to photograph. Especially when you have a backdrop like Kings College to play with. The fact that all of your family and friends are all together, enjoying the day, cheering and celebrating the marriage of you both is just beautiful to photograph. I make it my mission to photograph as many smiles as possible in this time.
The dining hall, although dark, was lit by 600 candles. It had the most amazing, glowing ambiance. It’s hard to describe the beauty of the hall with words so I’ll let you see for yourself.
Danielle and Nils had the help of ‘R&F weddings’ who are incredible wedding planners. If you love the look of this wedding and want a little help making your visions come to life I would say it’s worth getting in touch and speaking to the lovely Vanessa.
If you’re looking for creative, documentary wedding photography and for someone to capture all the moments and details that you have planned, I would be thrilled to hear from you. Please do ‘contact me‘.
